Driveway market stall raises funds for therapies clinic
We were delighted to welcome a group of very generous donors to Monash Children’s Hospital last week.
Charlotte, Tessa, Cleo, Matilda, Alice and Lucy held a ‘driveway market stall’ at home, raising money to purchase toys for our therapies clinic.
Items on offer at the driveway market stall included homemade baked goods, a ‘lucky dip’ as well as pre-loved toys and books.
The girls were very excited to have customers supporting their stall, their efforts raised an incredible $150 for Monash Children’s Hospital!
Brian Hoare, Senior Occupational Therapist at Monash Children’s Hospital said the toys purchased by the generous donors were carefully selected by the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) therapy team.
“These toys will be used daily for fun and motivating, goal-directed rehabilitation for children with a range of injuries and illnesses,” he said.
“We are extremely grateful for the generosity of the girls and impressed by their determination to help improve the lives of children receiving rehabilitation at Monash Children’s Hospital”.
Thank you Charlotte, Tessa, Cleo, Matilda, Alice and Lucy for your amazing generosity and support!
