The Podiatry Department at Monash Children’s Hospital provides services to support the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. Patients are seen either as inpatients or in the outpatient setting.

Monash Health provides Podiatry services to Monash Children’s Hospital patients both in an acute setting within our hospitals and in the community.

Podiatry services

The Podiatry team at Monash Children’s Hospital treat conditions including those resulting from bone and joint disorders, soft tissue and muscular pathologies as well as neurological and circulatory disease. Podiatrists are also able to diagnose and treat any complications which affect the lower limb and they play an important role in maintaining mobility.

Referrals

Monash Children’s Hospital Acute Podiatry service only accepts referrals from within Monash Health. Referrals can be made via EMR for inpatients and SMR e-Referrals for outpatients.
