About us

The Monash Children’s Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit provides a comprehensive range of services for conditions and diseases of the mouth, face and jaw.

We are involved in looking after children with oral and facial injuries, developmental craniofacial anomalies as well as head and neck pathology, such as infections, cysts and tumours of the jaws.

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit is part of the cleft and facial anomalies team and work closely with other paediatric services in the hospital, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to assist in the investigation and management of infants with upper airway problems.

Referrals 

Children are seen in our outpatient clinics at Monash Medical Centre Clayton and Dandenong Hospital. Referrals are accepted from general practitioners and specialists.
