The Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) is a statewide specialist service which caters for the complex rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents after major injury, medical illness, and congenital conditions who undergo interventions aimed at functional maximisation. Outpatient allied health services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, dietetics, podiatry and social work provide services in this area.

Oasis Child Neuropsychiatry Inpatient Unit is our eight-bed ward providing specialist assessment and care for children 12 years and under who have severe mental health and neurodevelopmental needs.

Stepping Stones is our adolescent inpatient unit, providing mental health services to young people aged 12 to 17. The unit has 15 overnight beds and five day-stay beds.

Cocoon is a 10-bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), providing care to children who require life-support or an intensive level of nursing and medical care.

Lagoon is our 20-bed same-day unit for day surgery admission and recovery, medical treatment pathway and renal dialysis.

Aviary is our 16 bed ward providing adolescent medicine, paediatric rehabilitation and neurology services.

Children’s Cancer Centre, Level 4

Reef is home to the Children’s Cancer Centre, our day oncology unit. The centre provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary model of care to children and young people with cancer and haematological conditions.

The Children’s Sleep Centre is a six-bed unit dedicated to providing consultation and sleep studies for paediatric sleep problems.

Nest is home to Monash Newborn, a 64-cot unit comprising of 32 Neonatal Intensive Care cots and 32 Special Care cots. Monash Newborn provides a supportive, evidenced-based environment that is focused on caring for sick and premature newborn babies and their families.
