Bailey’s Day 2016: in honour of Bailey Tessier

 In Latest News

The 13th Bailey’s Day luncheon, golf and auction day was held at the beautiful Woodlands Golf Club in Mordialloc on Tuesday 6 December.

Thirteen may traditionally be an unlucky number, but it was certainly a lucky number for another successful event and for Monash Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Centre.

Bailey’s Day is held in December each year in honour of Bailey Tessier, who passed away from a brain tumour in 2004 at two and a half years of age. Bailey’s Father Patrick Tessier has worked tirelessly every year to raise a total of $2.5million in support of the patients and families at our cancer centre. This support has funded 13 oncology fellows and important research into paediatric brain tumours.

This year’s event raised more than $136,000. We can’t thank Patrick, the Tessier family and all the Bailey’s Day supporters enough for the real difference they have made for our patients, families and staff – now and for years to come.
