The Children’s Cancer Foundation was established by a passionate group of parents, whose children were receiving treatment for cancer at Monash Children’s Hospital in 1992.

The Foundation formed originally to provide support for parents, and over time, developed into a strong advocate for children with cancer, and their families. The Foundation has been funding senior medical staff and allied health positions at Monash Children’s Hospital Cancer Centre since 1992.

Today, the Children’s Cancer Foundation continues to be driven by a group of dedicated volunteer directors – many of whom have been personally impacted by childhood cancer.

The Children’s Cancer Foundation provides significant support for paediatric cancer services in Victoria, and across Australia. The Foundation funds in-hospital programs of clinical care and family support, major programs of clinical research and clinical trials Australia-wide. Many of these programs are active right here, at Monash Children’s Hospital.

As our Beaded Journey program highlights, the Children’s Cancer Foundation is with you from your first step at Monash Children’s Hospital Cancer Centre, and will never leave your side.
