Monash Health provides Occupational Therapy services to Monash Children’s Hospital patients both in an acute setting within our hospitals and out in the community.
Occupational Therapy services
The Occupational Therapy team at Monash Children’s Hospital work with children and their families to maximise the child’s potential for building and recovering skills. They aim to enhance, enable and empower children’s participation in daily occupations by helping them adapt to the challenges they face as a result of illness, developmental delay, or disability. Daily occupations that the Occupational Therapist will support include self-care (e.g. dressing, showering), productivity (e.g. kindergarten, school), and play/leisure.
