Project team and partners

Kym Forrest, Director of the Monash Children’s Hospital Project and Project Manager, Karen Green worked in partnership with the Department of Health’s Project Director Liz Maddison and Project Manager Nada Radovic, to conduct the detailed planning for the new Monash Children’s Hospital.
As plans for the new hospital developed, consumer involvement was key to informing decisions made about the hospital design, content and themes.
Together with consumers and key stakeholders, Monash Health built a children’s hospital reflective of the needs of our community and of our staff. Integral to this was the establishment of the Monash Children’s Hospital Consumer Advisory Panel, members of which were embedded within planning teams to consider design implications and recommendations.
This principle of ‘co-design’ saw consultation with health professionals, families and young people to ensure the new hospital was modern and child and family-centred.
