“I have been visiting Monash Children’s Hospital for 19 years now. It’s a joy to do magic shows and tie animal balloons for the children and rewarding to be able to distract them from their health problems. Their courage is so inspiring and it’s a pleasure to work with other volunteers and Monash staff.  I’m 88 going on 89 and I plan to continue in the new hospital. My happiest day will be the day I visit and find all the beds empty with no sick children.”
